Just settling down here at English Dave Hall. Judy is sipping on a vodka and zero coke. She is doing this while watching 'Coronation Street.' This confirms women's skill at multi tasking.
Well we're just munching on some fish 'n' chips from the local chippie!

We normally play Cluedo and/or Scrabble on evenings such as this. The former is more fun and challenging, and is really a huge laugh when the drinks are flowing.

And as for music: I've got "Art of Noise", "Tangerine Dream", "Fragile State" & "Kraftwork" lined up on my NASbox.

Enjoy your evening, Dave

Actually, Tangerine Dream, isn't my choice, but my friend's, and she is in her 30s. It's good background noise I suppose; but the only tangerines I like are the ones you peel and chew on, lol

On a slightly different tangent, while my friends were with me last night, one of them commented about my collection of South African flags cased in A4-sized picture frames hanging on my bedroom wall. There's three all-told, covering 100 years of colonial change. The first two flags had a small motif of the Union Flag of the UK, but after 1994 the Union Flag was removed completely with a new flag.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_South_Africa

This brought us onto a great conversation about what may happen with the Union Flag of the UK over the next 10 or 20 years, and whether that too will change should the Scots become truly independent of Great Britain. Moroever, will the Welsh flag/patron saint ever become part of the Union Flag?

If the Scots leave the Union, then I would guess the Union Jack would be no more. We would start with the red and white of the England flag, and build it from there. It would seem very strange to have a new flag after centuries of the one we use now.

Can't say I've heard of "Jimmy Kranky" Probably before my time

However, my dad reckons Nicola is the spitting image of Rab C Nesbitt's wife, which was another TV comedy before I was born (pre 1993)

I like a cup of hot chocolate in the evenings! (It has to be Cadbury's, if you ask me). Does that officially make me an old fogey?!

I am making myself sound the most boring person ever. Sitting around for hours watching the Snooker, sipping on my hot chocolate. And yes, I have comfy slippers too!

Old fogey reporting in Star......... Accept it....... don't fear it....... embrace it. Do you find the telly is a little out of focus without glasses? Do you 'tut' a lot at young people's antics?

If so........ welcome to the club.
