The news looks like it has an obvious answer, but that is not so.
Britain hasn't even left the EU yet and still their poverty is sky high (and rising), and their debt is rising (fast).
Firstly, since the 80s, the UK has become obsessed with economic elitism focusing on the flourishing economy London while ignoring fundamentals. Rather than advancing an industrialized economy and pursue agriculture reform to feed the country leaders in the UK have focused on service industry management while also wealth inequalities and rewarding takers (bankers) rather than producers (blue-collar workers).
Now debt is rising, their are no fundamental strengths to the UK as service sector finance isn't anything real that can be maintained through economic turmoil and soon the UK will become the poor man of Europe unless they do socialist working class reforms (not the capitalist reforms like in Denmark, but industrial reforms as seen in Basque country Spain).
