How do the British feel about America and the American people in general? Why do Brits feel this way?

People are people all over, nice people, and nasty people, country of origin has very little to do with it.

There's a world of difference in sense of humour though, the Irish are very similar to British but an American sense of humour is totally different and it wouldn't take much to turn what we think is funny into an insult.

Mickey Flanagan's pointed out a few differences that Brits will find funny, this Brit did anyway, any Americans looking in might not get it though ....

Warning, strong language.

Many Americans have told me after visiting the UK & Ireland that they found the widespread use of bad language, F in particular, to be offputting. They regard it as a lack of education.
