Hate to say it but friends who still use X/Twitter are telling me even now there are posts in there calling this a hoax
There are always going to be kooky people out there saying whatever. That will never stop. People say things for attention and because they aren't very bright. There is no way for it to stop, therefore no one should expect it to stop.
Thank goodness I am not in the public eye. I have no time for the royal family, but I do not envy anyone being scrutinised over every little thing they do.
As for anyone thinking that this situation with Kate is a hoax is either being malicious or stupid.
Well, it sounds like she is getting preventative chemo so that is a positive sign, I would think. As opposed to full on treatment. But we only know what we are told. She young but more and more younger people are being diagnosed with cancer, more so than previous years. I wish her well.
Unfortunate, that they, the Palace PR, didn't say something sooner, it would have prevented A LOT of the speculation. Too bad it got so far out of control.
They may not have known sooner. There's a dx based on looks and one based on microscopic examination. The 1st isn't as reliable as the 2nd.
The only thing that was bungled was the collective actions of millions of nosy gossip mongers who mistakenly thought they were entitled to know her whereabouts and all the goings-on that were none of their business until she wanted it to be.
Yeah, she chose this life in the limelight but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve some time away without explaining it to the whole world.

hate to sound nitpicky but no she didn't choose this life style. She chose to marry a man she loved/loves enough to accept this life style.
