yeah, I think BA will have to close its books...there will be so many people affected by this and at the busiest time of year, it's hitting the travellers more than anyone. that's beyond sad.
I am flying out with them on the 29th on an American airlines booking (codeshare) Glasgow - Heathrow - Dallas - Birmingham.
I have no idea what I can do if my BA flight gets cancelled
Greedy sods, they earn more than the average nurse (when I graduate I wont even earn close to that) and we work much harder than them, just doesn't seem fair. They should be grateful that they still have a job but with the way BA is heading I can bet they will regret this when they have no job.
I was a dispatcher for BA for years, they can't let this happen folks.

My sympathies are with the poor sods who were due to travel with BA over the twelve days of this strike.
Exactly!!
BA are already losing money and this action will just push people onto carriers like BMI, Easyjet and RyanScare.
I am fortunate that I am flying Continental into Glasgow for Xmas and New Year. That decision was taken because Continental were a lot cheaper. But, in future, I will definitely factor the risk of strike action into my choice of carrier.

It is hitting "holiday travelers" who probably only fly a couple of times a year rather than the regular business ones. Nevertheless, the action is utterly despicable as they really do not care whether they ruin peoples Xmas or not. In return, I shall not shed a tear when BA have to start laying off staff because they are losing money.
Yeah and I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen as I am flying on an American Airlines ticket on a BA operated flight from Glasgow - London then the U.S onwards.
do you have any type insurance scotslass?or else phone AA and see what they tell you, I wouldn't wait ..this is going to be such a mess, I used to love flying BA
I kinda hope they don't go out of business as they're currently the only airline (apart from United) that flies direct to London from where I live! United costs more and I hate flying with them but I really hate doing layovers.
I don't know anything about what's behind the strike but I find it incomprehensible that anyone working for a company already in serious financial trouble would consider going on strike a good idea
