Seems like all they're doing in CT is upgrading the existing New Haven - Springfield line to higher speed trains, but no new route being built.

Restoring the old routes can hold CT over for 20 years , a New High Speed line will be built through the state along the I-84 corridor.

Hey Nexis4Jersey,

How do you know all this? Do you sit on a board? I knew most of this information but a lot of it is a refreshing surprise. Are you sure about all the start dates? I assume you are. I'm sure you wouldn't just post false information. I just want to know how you know all this. I would love to talk to you about what projects are moving forward since you seem to be in the know.

Its Trackside knowledge , most Rail fanners have access to alot of info. The Ridership projects are based off the state data...and private groups.

Yes, I had heard that too but you made it seem like you knew someone inside MTA. Someone close to the decision making process and financial situation. Sometimes I wish I could be a fly on the wall.

Man purple line isn't going anywhere until Maryland administration figures it's deal out. President Loh seems to be supporting the obvious choice but there are still a couple of idiots against it.
