HOV areas are usually pretty crowded, I do not see how it could be supported except like between 1-4am. I think speed limits should be adjusted to conditions with a cap. I really do not wish to see 100mph limits, not with these drivers.

Why don't they have each lane slightly increase in speed? for instance the most right line would be 60mph, and each lane you move to the left would increase by 5mph so that the 4th lane on the very left would be 75mph, or increase by 10 mph and so the 4th lane on the very left would be 90mph. Has this kind of system ever been tried? if so was it a failure?
