Call the BLM office, (435) 644-1200, for the Grand Staircase monument. (BLM oversees the GSENM). They will have the latest information for MOST of the areas. There has been a lot of rain in southern Utah the past few weeks so there are some areas that are closed.

Last I heard the one that is a closer walk, but a longer drive through various gates has been permanently closed to the public.
this was a helpful thread and though a little while ago I have not heard that anything has changed.
