Info about Cedar City area (living in, safety, move)

Hi,
Im new here, a girlfriend showed me this site.

Im a parent of 3 kids, and we need to relocate to another area of Utah, for safety reasons.
I know nothing about Cedar City, other then the SUU is there, and I will be a student.
Is anyone from the area, or know about the area? Im clueless and this move will be taking place pretty soon.

We need housing, where we can have our 2 cats and 2 dogs (all spayed) And we need boarding or pasture for horses.
I wouldnt mind living in the sticks, and would actually prefer that, as Im very timid of people at this juncture of my life..

It sounds as if you have the means to support three children, general pets and horses. That is fortunate. Cedar City is a small town but if you want to have the land to support your lifestyle there's plenty of properties just outside town and beyond. If you could be more specific I'm sure many folks could offer advice.
