Park ranger in critical condition after Utah shooting - CNN.com

This Ranger was shot in Moab. I wonder if it was drug related, lots of meth cookers in that area. Scary. Not even safe in Moab.

Uhmmm ... yeah, but where do you live ...

Anything exiting happening *there* ???

Really, somebody getting shot anywhere is not even *news* anymore ...
Sad !!!

If you read any newspaper, not one day do I NOT see anything rotten happening ... right in your own neighbourhood !!!

No city is 100% safe but Moab is a pretty safe place. This is not an ordinary occurance.

Not yet. The search has been scaled down. There was so much territory to cover. The chances are pretty good that he is no longer alive, as it would be difficult for him to get out of that area without being seen by someone. The ranger is still on the critical list.

Moab has always been an outlaw town-cattle rustlers, jack mormons, monkey wrenchers have always made this place home. Don't let the flaky hippie trip fool you-this is still rugged country where anything can happen. The frappacino suckers with their gluten free brownies at the coffee shops here are all appalled, but so what?
There's a lot of bodies buried around this desert.
