Hello all, Lo and behold, Utah will be on our route this year for our yearly roadtrip. We will be entering Utah from the Flaming Gorge, then head west to Vernal and Provo, and SLC. Then down to Arches, and Canyonlands, and Moab. Then east to Colorado. What are some things on this route we definitely should not miss?

Anyone know if we can camp on the so called Skinwalker Ranch in north east Utah? We love scary stories and such.

There is a giant cave near Vernal we don't want to miss. Anyone have details on this? Up Cave Creek or something?

Is there any ghost towns you would suggest visiting? We might camp near a ghost town called Sego.

I am not sure about the Skinwalker Ranch, but the 2 caves I know about near Vernal are: Little Brush Creek Cave
and
Big Brush Creek Cave

Both caves are subject to spring runoff, which closes them down completely through summer. If you are interested in going to the caves I would suggest contacting The Timp Grotto

Sego is a cool ghost town. Be sure to check out the Petroglyphs near by. If you drive by Beaver then you should check out Old Frisco Mining town: Frisco Ghost Town & Cemetery - Beaver County Utah

Not sure of your religion or interest but the LDS temple and surrounding grounds are pretty.
Also, there is still GREAT skiing going on.

Finally, if you are near Zions then you should visit/hike Angels Landing: Angels Landing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I hope that helps!

Skinwalker Ranch is closed-off private property (still actively used for ranching) and is really just a way for George Knapp to make money selling books, not even a tourist attraction. I wouldn't even bother looking for it. The whole area is infamous for UFOs and the like however, so if you want to look for them take a night or two and go camping. There is a lot of public land that you can park on.

If you can I would suggest taking a drive up the Nebo scenic loop.
