Anybody know where I can get a tow from Whistler to Vancouver (or Abbotsford) for 250$ or less? (under the table/cash/or legit) Had my engine seize on me and need to get my vehicle home.

Bummer 2am car breakdowns are no fun...
No harm in trying but i doubt many tow truck operators are sitting in Whistler and reading this forum.
Too bad you arent a CAA gold card member, the car would be flat bedded back to Van free.
What makes you think the engine is seized? could it be a broken timing belt or something else that maybe remedied in Whistler.
Probably going to cost $3K=$5K to put a new motor in the car,if the car is only worth that much you may consider just scrapping it at the closest scrap yard..

I have potential to get the job done at cost, minus all the taxes so all in, the cost may not be so severe. However, I'd like to get the car down to Vancouver to have my guy look at it and advise.

The car was towed to a Whistler garage. They advised it was an engine seize, and from what I experienced and know, all symptoms point to seized engine. The car is in great shape with fairly recent upgrades to brakes, muffler, and other components so it'd be a shame to just scrap it at this point.

Times like this you gotta think with your head and not your heart. odd that the car would seize up as thats something modern cars arent known for, usually you'd have check engine lights flashing long before a motor ran out of oil and actually seized, if you think the car is worth it then its a good call to get it to your own mechanic to get a second opinion. As for getting the car to Vancouver? bite the bullet and pay whatever it costs, chalk it up to part of the price of the engine repair.
You could give CAA a call and tell them you arent a member (Yet) and you need your car towed, they might sign you up as a member and give you a break on the towing costs, heres their number..
