Howdy from Texas,
My wife and I will be traveling to your beautiful neck-of-the-woods May 14-24th. What should we expect weather wise at this time of the year? Thanks.

It's often rainy in May. I'd bring and wear layers daily including light raincoats and umbrellas (if you forget yours they sell them on every corner). It could be warm or cool at that time of year but you probably won't need shot sleeves or sleeveless attire (at least most women wouldn't and if you're used to Texas' heat you porbably won't either).

The same as London and Paris.

Yes, those. Our weather in May really is like what you get in London and Paris. Flower and trees bud here in February. Cherry blossoms are in full bloom right now, but certain types of cherry trees will be in full bloom in May. The city has thousands of Cherry trees.
Rain is likely, but so is sunshine. Some years May is warm enough for the beach….some years

Did you know that in B.C. we have a town called Dallas as well as a Houston?

Thanks for the info on your beautiful province . No, I didn't know there was a Dallas and a Houston
up your way. Is J.R. Ewing up there too? We plan on spending 2 nights each in Victoria, Ucluelet,
Whistler and Vancouver before heading back home. If you know any "must sees" in any of these places,
please fill us in. Thanks.

In Victoria I would definitely stop by the Royal B.C. Museum. It will give you a good idea of the history of the area.

Right next door the Parliament Buildings off guided and self-guided tours. Tours of the parliament are free.

Also if you are into gardens. Butchart Gardens are popular.

On your way to Ucluelet a stop at Cathedral Grove to see some old trees

Cathedral Grove | British Columbia | Our Big Tree Heritage

and we like to picnic on our way with a stop at Little Qualicum Falls

Vancouver. With such a short stay this is a difficult one. If your sprite enough though I always suggest, if the weather is pleasant, to rent bikes and ride around the seawall. It's encircles the whole city and you can tick off many sites in a few hours. Canada Place, Stanely Park, Yaletown, Olympic Village and Granville island.
If you don't want to back track you can take a little ferry that accepts bikes, called Aqua Bus. The other ferry company, Granville Island Ferries does not have bike ferries.

If you are driving to Whistler a stop at Shannon Falls on the way there, just before Squamish, is worth a look, It's right off the highway and takes only 20 minutes or so to view.

Shannon Falls Provincial Park - BC Parks

From the park and as you pass the town of Squamish you will pass the The Stawamus Chief. A hunk of granite that is over 700 metres tall. It is suppose to be the second largest granite dome in the world after the Rock of Gibraltar. You can't miss it.

In Whistler it's expensive but take the peak to peak gondola.

The temperatures will cool down to 7C ( 44 F ) at night so bring some warmer sweaters of jackets for that. The daytime highs average about 17 C ( 62 F ) but again these are averages. I've seen it as warm as 25C (77F) at the end of May…but don't count on it.
Do count on some showers.
