Looking for a lawyer/law firm for a class action lawsuit related to financial fraud and have no idea where to start. Have tried asking around and searching via the internet but have not gotten very far. What is a good way to get the names of lawyers specialized in this area that could be contacted to discuss a class action lawsuit. This would be in Canada (Vancouver Area). Thank you.
You could try checking out Klein Lawyers, they are quite well known in BC. Klein Lawyers is a litigation firm focusing on class actions. The firm is based in Vancouver but also has a Toronto office. It is one of the pioneers and veterans of class action litigation in Canada. https://www.callkleinlawyers.com/class-actions/
"Financial Fraud" involving just WHO or what? Class action lawsuits in Canada or originating in Canada takes HUGE BAGS OF CASH. We are NOT, NOT THE USA. It's a British system. If you plan on taking on any "member of structure" like a Cdn. bank or insurance company good luck with that. There are very, very few "pro bono' cases taken unless there's a pretty much guaranteed "bucket of money" at the end of the rainbow: Hospitals, etc. Fraud? Not going to happen. First you have to prove fraud in law, Canadian law, and then you have to find out where the money is stashed.

Thank you for the reply. I was asking on behalf of a friend and I cannot disclose much on the nature of the lawsuit. I have talked to a number of lawyers and learned the legal system in Canada is quite different, for example, contingency is not as common in Canada as in the US.
