The two stores in my area are letting them run down. Normal price $4.49, sale price $3.99, but they're practically giving them away at two pkgs. for $3 and not replenishing the stock.

Store employees give me the treatment.

Maybe MF is going under.

Sure gonna miss Veggie Dogs and Garden Veggie Patties. Use a lot of them.

Maybe soy isolate products like fake chicken and sausages are losing their popularity? I don't know, but I no longer use them due to the fact that they make not be so healthful. I still use a bit of soy milk in my coffee.

Soy – Food, Wonder Drug, or Poison?
April 2005

https://www.drmcdougall.com/misc/200...50400pusoy.htm

"Another recent study showed how 40 grams of soy or cow-milk protein concentrate added to the diet significantly increases levels of a powerful cancer-promoting growth hormone, called Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 – IGF-1. 29 However, soy protein was almost twice as powerful as the milk protein concentrate – doubling the levels of IGF-1 with 40 grams of soy protein isolate. This growth promoter has been strongly linked to the development of cancer of the breast, prostate, lung, and colon.30 Excess IGF-1 stimulates cell proliferation and inhibits cell death – two activities you definitely don't want when cancer cells are involved.30"

BTW, Dr. McDougall is not anti-soy, he just cautions against eating fake soy meats. He said he was once a big fan of soy sausages until he learned about the connection to IGF-1.

I used to be a big Morningstar Farms fan when i was just vegetarian. Loved their bacon and crumbles, especially. But since more than 50% of their items are not vegan, I don't buy them anymore and have switched to Gardein for the majority of that kind of stuff. I don't look at them in the freezer case anymore to notice if they are dwindling

I haven't noticed any kind of price reductions. I like the Indian burgers and especially the hot sausage patties.

Well now that MF is no longer available here, what other companies that make the same type of meat-flavored vegan products should I look for?

They must be frozen foods. Not interested in the refrigerated products like Smart Dogs, Tofu Pups, vegan cheese, etc.

I like the Gardein meatless meatballs. They were SO good in spaghetti sauce.

They're also great for "meatball"subs! I buy Nates zesty Italian frozen ones.

I do like MF breakfast patties. There's not been a shortage of their products in this area.

I think soybean prices are dropping due to the US China trade war

Oh yeah! Those are sooooooo good. I've wrapped them in a tortilla and out them in an air fryer and topped with marinara, like a meatball chimichanga.
