Even flavors that there should be no reason to. Barbecue, Jalapeno, Salsa, even friggin' Wasabi. Why do they have to put dairy in all of them.

(I know there are plenty of chips that don't have dairy, but there are so many flavors that sound good and I want to try, and then I see they have dairy)

I have no idea. My guess would either be anti-caking action of some sort, or maybe for umami.

Here's a list of products without dairy:

Enjoy.

Definitely a handy list to have (although at least one item on that list, the Doritos Salsa Verde, has chicken, another no-no for vegans). I know there are a lot of options for vegans, but it's frustrating when flavors that sound interesting turn out to have dairy.

Potato chips are so unhealthy that having dairy in them is the least of most people's problems.

I actually have something similar to this for making chips in the microwave and it makes decent chips, but you can only make a dozen or so at a time. I guess that's how big a serving usually is, so maybe that's a good thing.

I went to Quiznos a couple of weeks ago. I counted 13 different chips to choose from and of the 13...only 2 were vegan. Lays and Baked Lays. Ridiculous

That's also important for people like me, who are allergic to dairy.
