Maybe it's still a little early for this, but I was just wondering if any of you have heard any weather predictions for this coming winter. Everyone from the Farmer's Almanac to meteorologists to atmospheric scientists make predictions about the length and severity of winter. However, they often prove to be incorrect so I suppose it's an inexact science at best. For instance, I remember reading a thread on here last year that said the winter was going to be very cold and harsh, and of course, just the opposite was true. Still, it's fun to hear the predictions nonetheless.

As you alluded to I don't know who is more foolish, the people making the winter predictions or the people that buy into it.

I predict at least three people who moved here from Florida will post "Hey, it's really cold here and there aren't any Olive Gardens! Don't move here! Vermont sucks!"

I predict that it will be dark when you wake up and dark when you get home but not as bad as Fairbanks.

You beat me to it, I really dread the darkness.
And I hate hate hate the time change, wish they would just leave it alone.
