A tourist from downcountry had pulled to the side of a dirt road in the Green Mountains. There he met an old Vermont farmer who was finishing up cutting hay with his big draft horse.
The tourist confronted the tired sweaty man and said "Hey bub, you can't be making any money trying to farm such poor land, why do it?
The farmer wiped his sweaty brow and replied "I ain't as poor as you think, I don't own this land."
