I've been seeing them cruising slowly for weeks--what are they doing up there?
No govt markings that I can see, but some are blue and white. We're close to the border--are aircraft being used to look for illegal crossings?

I suppose the DEA is still looking for marijuana crops. Blue and white? Maybe the UN is looking for marijuana crops....

Does the state or do the feds still care about growing weed here? I sort of thought it was on its way to being mostly legal in this state, but I haven't really kept up with the issue.

Could be looking for weed. It is that time of year. Cover your crop with a net!
Utilities survey their lines too.

They just made a big grow house bust up near Burlington the other day.

Small amounts were decriminalized (Fines only below 1 oz.) a few year back but it's very much still illegal and the State and Feds are always on the lookout in rural areas for crops (and meth houses, etc).
