I have a really good friend that just started going to school at Lyndon State and im courious if there are ANY busses or taxis that will take me to Lyndon or at the very least to St. Johnsberry out of the montpelier area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to car country! There is a GMTA bus that runs up Route 2 from Montpelier to St. J during rush hours - 2 morning trips, 3 afternoon trips. Outside of that, you just might have to make some cabbie's lucky day.
What is the deal with Zip Cars? The website says the closest place to acquire one is Boston. But Vermont Law School has a deal with Zip Cars for students, faculty, and staff, who presumably don't travel to Boston to get them. Does anyone here know of Vermont Zip Car sites?

VLS has two cars for faculty, staff, and students. The cars are not at a dealer location. They are located in the Oaks Hall parking lot. Once reserved, you walk up to the car, wave your zip card over the windshield and the car unlocks.

Thanks! Cool system. I wish it was more widely available for regular Vermonters since we're clearly not restoring the country's train service, light rail, and other mass transportation infrastructure. Certainly not in time to help the OP.
