I'd like to get into playing Animal Crossing because I read that it's a relaxing game series with no stress. I have a Nintendo 3DS and was thinking of purchasing the latest game "New Leaf". Would this be a good start for someone who never played any AC game before. Is there continuity or references to previous games I need to understand?

Interesting, I was wondering is there a version for the 3DS? I have the 3Ds and I would like to know if animal crossing New Leaf is on that console?

It's a great game for someone who never played any AC game before. Many of the characters are the same as in the older games, but I am sure you will understand easily without having played those games.

Animal Crossing, New Leaf is thought by many to be by far the best Animal Crossing game yet. And yes, STB93, it is for the 3DS.

I used to love AC for the game cube. It really was just mindless cute fun. Any of the AC games you pick up, you will enjoy.

Yup, this is definitely a game that I have to get the next time. I loved the original animal crossing and hopefully I will have to get the newer ones.
