Hello every one, my wife and I and my two young boys are talking about moving to Virginia. We lived in nyc all of our lives but would love to live down south. Looking for affordable housing,good paying job,and marine life activities . I'm 46years old and my wife 37 our boys are 13 and 8 years of age. I've done mostly blue collar type of work like custodial work, but would like to try something new.my wife is a stay at home mom and our boys are home schooled. We would love to live by other families and would like to be 45 minutes to an hour from the beach. I'm currently in school studying to be a counselor for youth and my wife has a bachelors degree in English and almost done with her masters degree in education.i wouldn't mined working for the state its self or hospitals or even the universities. Being the soul income provider puts a lot of pressure on me to find a good paying job.Thank you all for your input. God bless.

You may want to consider Delaware and Maryland also. Will your degree in youth counselling allow you to intern somewhere? You are likely to get picked up where you intern, if they have vacancies. I would not just pick up and move without one of you securing a job somewhere. Even with your custodial experience, you could apply for supervisory custodial positions with local governments. These jobs have good benefits. Good luck!
