Default Hyattsville, Arts District, and the city in general - what's it all about?

Looks like some interesting older housing full of character and such.

Saw some photos off the web with some real interesting downtown photos as well.

Most of the city-data threads on Hyattsville are a few years old now, info might be dated. They seemed to be more negative though.

There also seems to be a core Hyattsville and than unincorporated parts that go into bad areas? So how are the core areas? The heart of Hyattsville, that is.

How is Hyattsville faring these days?

I think we mentioned this in some other thread?? Anyway, i live by hyattsville and can tell you that downtown hyattsville is pretty nice, along with the historic part (reminds me of TP). Now some of the areas in the hyattsville address are kinda shady, langley park is one, although pg planning people "say" that theres an entire redevelppment down there. Brentwood parts can be pretty bad. (esp north brentwood). I also think a part of adelphi is in the hyattsville address, not shure though. Overall the area by university park is nice too. Even though pg plaza is right by university park.
