This a cool gesture but I am trying to figure out where 72 acres could be in or near the broad creek district. Anyone? Another question that I have is that, besides from trails and preservation, what else does their historic group do to promote that area? Other areas that I have been to that have had historic designations have some type of museum or educational markers to denote the area's significance. I can't say that I have seen that there.

The residents of Broad Creek Historic District have been at odds with developer Milt Peterson before, but the community’s advisory committee was in support of Peterson’s next plan — donating a chunk of land in the district for preservation.

Peterson, president of Peterson Cos., donated 72 acres of land on Dec. 13 to The Conservancy of Broad Creek, a nonprofit group that protects and preserves land in and around the Fort Washington-based Broad Creek Historic District.

Isn't that the same land they proposed developing near the hospital years ago?

Is it? I thought that was owned by someone else. If it is it makes sense since that was a stalled project and new development in a surplus market would be a waste of time.

All I know is that you can hardly tell it is a historic district.

Very true. They have done nothing to it.

I am really not sure what this land is though.
