I searched on Hotpads.com and there is nothing in Owings Mills in that range currently. However, there were listings in Reisterstown, Windsor Mill, Randallstown, Pikesville in that range. They are mostly older decent places. They are on bus lines rather than on the light rail which serves Owings Mill. I used to live in the Gwynn Oak area, and I could live in Reisterstown. It has good shopping and is mostly middle-class (with a very Jewish populaton if that matters). Nothing is 100% safe, but if you are cautious, you can be OK. Towson is also a good area, and I like Catonsville also.

BTW, you posted in the Washington, DC suburbs sub-forum, but you would do better posting in the Baltimore sub-forum.

Thanks goldenage1 for the correct forum.....Im new to this forum. Im trying to stay near zip code 21117 since my sister lives there.. Is Catonsville close to Owings Mills? I am familiar with rents in Randallstown , Reistertown, and Pikesville and will definently check into Townson area.

Catonsville is about 13 miles by the Beltway. Owings Mills has much new construction, and the rents are probably higher than elsewhere. I have been in some of the lower-priced areas of Randallstown and I don't recommend them-- too many rough looking teenagers.
