Has anyone ever heard of or dealt with this company before? We received a random statement in the mail for $2K+ from them for "Deferred Water and Sewer Charge/Front Foot Benefit Charge." Is this legit?

If you live in an HOA where the developer didn't roll the cost of the water and sewer infrastructure into the price of the home it could be.

They're (It's really a one man business {Daniel Bau*****) a pseudo-legit piece of an intricate scam. Legit in the sense that they're a tool for completing the evil work of the potential scammer which is the developer who built your home. Sometimes it's legit. Other times it's not.

Follow the trail from the start. Review the deeds for your property. Review the original sales document for your property too. Did any of the documents you signed mention the FFBC? Check with your title company to verify that MUF has a proper "lien" on your property.

You could be lucky enough to find some glaring hole in their scheme. I did, and cut them off with a Cease and Desist letter. Haven't paid them a dime for a few years now.
