Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row is reporting that Kapnos Kouzina has closed at Bethesda Row. Kapnos Kouszina was located at 4900 Hampden Ln, Bethesda, MD 20814.

Robert Dyer reports that this is "at least temporarily, a significant loss for Federal Realty. Kapnos was in a space that struggled to attract foot traffic for years."

Kapnos Kouzina was the creation of beleaguered celebrity chef Mike Isabella. Kapnos Kouzina is now closed.

1. Why can't anything stay open in Bethesda?
2. Why isn't Bethesda more bumping? For the population density and the current and increasing "luxury" apartments, there should be more happy hour and night options. It's weird.

Community Breakfast, the donut shop, the open beer garden in fairmont....all of those were good and they closed almost right away. What's going on?

My understanding is that Mike Isabella filed for bankruptcy as a result of the Me Too sexual scandal he was involved in. So, closing this restaurant was due to other reasons and not location. All of his restaurants are closing down, not just this one.
