I was wondering where is the best place to live for a single college grad. I love going out, so I would like to be close to the nightlife scene.

I am from the West Coast so I have NO idea about the dating scene/bar scene. I have tons of questions and no one to really ask!

How is the bar/club scene? (im not huge into clubs)

How is the single life?

Can anyone comment? I know these are VERY broad questions, but any insight is helpful.

I appreciate it!

Ummm Adams Morgan will probably be the de-facto neighborhood if you are into the bar scene. It's a decent area if you are into the whole French-Quarter-let's-all-vomit-on-the-sidewalks scene. Prices are average I would say for DC.

Dupont and Georgetown has a more upscale bar/club scene but of course it is a lot more expensive.

Anything in Arlington is pretty much nice, but people in DC will treat you like your from China. It has nice 'hoods but it's a little too sterile for my taste.

Adams Morgan, but not all bars there are equal. But that means... you just go to some other area so no problem!

Arlington is a mecca for recent college grads. It's a very nice, walkable, upscale area with lots of bars and restaurants and coffee shops and such. Easy access on the orange line into DC when needed.
