Can anyone rec a decent place for lunch in that area? (on a weekday) I will be at the Folgers so walking distance from that would be great.

Not McDonald's but not expensive, either. Reasonable but yummy would be good. Thanks.

You're basically on the House side.

Good stuff eatery; 3rd & Pennsylvania SE. Burgers and shakes. Opened by a former 'top chef' contestant or whatever the show is.

Sonoma Wine Bar & Restaurant; down the block from good stuff, if you're looking for something a little nicer but not terribly expensive.

Tortilla coast is at 1st & D if you're into mexican food.

That's about it for the House side, unless you're looking for pub food or carry-out. Longworth cafeteria actually has really good wraps among other things.

If you ever happen to get a carryout lunch in that area and it's nice out, the garden of the Folger Shakespeare Library (3rd and East Capitol) is a really serene spot and great for a lil picnic.
