I wouldn't quite call it a riverfront, since y'know it's a park with a canal, but it does look very cool.

Develop poplar point and build HIGH RISE buildings there too, like 18-20 stories. Hell if this was fantasy world I'd say build a 40 story hotel and turn poplar point into an urban resort of some sort, water taxis and all as well as a soccer stadium, which was proposed but eliminated.

Yeah yeah yeah I know its "unique" for Washington not to have anything tall but when it comes to a waterfront you want to have a little height to it.
actually that's the worse thing to do on a waterfront imo, put up a 50 story building and block out all the views for everyone else. i think everyone should have access to the waterfront and not just a few select millionaires.

Looks really good. I can't wait until Uniontown becomes the next Georgetown. That way, people living on the riverfront won't be afraid to come south of the river.

Saw the profile of the Uniontown Bar and Grill in the Post recently, and it looks like a very nice place. Hopefully it will prove that decent, sit-down restaurants can thrive on the "other side" of the Anacostia.

where's the 50 storey building?

Olin is good, it should be a good park, I worry about a neighborhood's character after being built so quickly

That's a great urban development strategy!

Any idea the Design or Architecture firms behind it, I'm looking for work in that area and they might be looking for some design staff.
