Only there in DC for a 3 day weekend? What sights i must see before i leave DC. of course the King memorial will be on sunday. what else would you recommened

If you going to the memorial, you might as well do the mall. The Lincoln Memorial, the National Monument, the WWII memorial, the Wall. I am not an expert on museums so I will let other posters fill you in on that one.

Well the King Memorial is in the same area as the others so you'll have to do that, but you should do one of those double decker bus tours cause its gives a complete tour of DC, museums and monuments included. Some of my favorites are the Woodley Park Zoo, The Botanical Gardens, any of the Smithsonian Musuems. Oh and if you can, the DC Harbor is nice. These are just my suggestions. Enjoy!

Given the possible weather situation with Hurricane Irene, you may be relegated to museums and indoor activities.
