It's in DC itself, but on the outskirts toward the MD side. And there is free parking for him there. FWIW, we checked on our auto insurance today, and if were to move to Rockville, MD, our insurance would go up about $2200 a year!!!! Alexandria, VA however, would only go up $200 a year. Those things will obviously need to be factored in. (Dh just picked those two cities arbitrarily, we don't have a set city in mind)

That's probably not out of line by much. All else being equal (as in about the national average), car insurance in MD would be 25-30% higher than in VA. Obviously, everyone's circumstances are different, but that would be a decent ballpark expectation going in...
