Quick question as my Google searches are leading to one broken link after another.

We are planning to adopt a dog and the family fostering the dog lives in DC. Since we are bringing our own dog to meet the potential new family member, we need to drive our car. As we generally only take the metro into DC, can anyone recommend a dog park that has parking at it or close by?

Thanks in advance!

Just meet at Roosevelt Island. It's a little walk from Rosslyn metro. It's not a dog park, but I've done no leash there before, because my dog is awesome and the trails are pretty much empty most of the time.

I love that place.

Otherwise, there are tons of dog parks near DC, but I have no idea where you live!? There are only few closed fence one, and that's near west of Dupont. The other ones are open grassy area.

Thanks for the reply. Seems as if it is all for not on the dog parks anyway. The adoption center has a rule about not meeting dogs in dog parks because past experiences--- too much commotion. Makes sense. However, I'll keep that park in mind for the future. I've always trained my dogs to not run off once I take them off their leash.
