How about "getting high on life"? Shouldn't that be illegal?

I fully support your right to access marijuana for a legitimate illness under the prescription and supervision of a doctor. There is a huge difference between that sort of access and being able to freely buy pot for a recreational high.

Lots of people abuse painkillers for recreational highs. Doesn't mean that people who have surgeries shouldn't be able to get opiates to deal with the pain, but I think that having Oxycotnin or Vicodin on the over-the-counter shelves and available for those seeking a recreational high is a bad idea.

I think my post made it very clear that I was talking about using drugs to get high.

So will DC have legal dispensaries where they can buy and sell? Can't wait for CA to pass this in 2016

Serious question: can the majority Republican Congress overrule the passage of this marijuana bill? Not sure of the specifics of federal oversight of DC laws and regulations.

Short answer yes, but Obama would need to go along with it too.

Nope, this just makes it legal to posses up to 2 ounces, 6 plants (but only 3 can be mature/flowering at a time), but inhibits sales.
