I very rarely see Ivy League stickers. Mostly GW, GT, GMU, Virginia, Virginia Tech. And it's definitely also the graduates themselves as the Wilson Boulevard area is full of cars covered in collegiate stickers.
It's really interesting how many people in the DC area have stickers in their car. I don't think I've ever been to another city that even comes close with all the political and collegiate stickers (although putting your initials on your car in the south has caught on for some strange reason).
*shrug*. I graduated from the University of Michigan (x2, plus residency). I love the school, and it is a tie to home.
I wear Michigan clothing sporadically out on weekends as well, especially during the fall.
Don't really care what you think. Would encourage you to feel that way as well.
Michigan has a whole different level of school pride. All of the "Go Blue!" and game watching parties, etc. That type of school spirit doesn't exist in the Ivy League and at smaller, more prestigious liberal arts schools.
