A friend of mine moving to the area is looking at taking up an apartment either at the Whitney, Metropolitan, Pallisade or Triangle Tower. Does have any experience renting in these apts or know anyone who has? What were your experiences + or neg. Luckily his company is paying for his expense for 4 months so prices is not an issue. Mainly concerned about a decent apartment with good security and responsive maintenance/office staff. Thanks!

I lived at Triangle Towers for year. It's a nice apartment and building, but the units are older than the other choices and do not have washers and dryers.

Since the company is paying for the expenses, I would go with either the Palisades or the Whitney. Both are very nice buildings and have fairly spacious apartments with modern amenties. I've heard some good things about both places as well.
The Palisades is off Cordell, next to Triangle Towers and is near restuarants and bars, while the Whitney is right off Wisconsin and closer to the metro. However; the area around Cordell can be loud on weekends due to the bars. If that's an issue, the Whitney might be better.
