What are some suggestions for SAFE neighborhoods to rent a 2 bedroom where there are other young couples with/without babies? It doesn't have to be a place where we would stay forever (so no worries about schools, etc yet). Would Glover park or cleveland park be good choices? Bethesda? Our work places are in the city so we don't want too long a commute.

Those are all good choices, but I'm a little confused. You posted in another thread last evening that you live or lived in DC, so I would assume that you already are aware of the various neighborhoods and their associated characteristics, not to mention the commuting aspects of same. So what information exactly are you looking for that you don't already possess? I'm not trying to be snippy; I just want to ensure that I provide the appropriate guidance/information.
I lived there a while ago and was younger, had different priorities, etc. I am trying to figure out what area would fit my new situation. Thanks for your help!
All those neighborhoods are fine for babies. I don't know about Cleveland Park and young couples though...I live there now and most of the couples I see with babies are much older. (Either we have older parents, or some very involved grandparents here!) It's just very expensive to have babies here.

In the DC Parks and Playgrounds I see LOTS of nannies. Thats probably what you are seeing.
