I am curious about Port Orchard. I understand "Cedar Cove" is based on this town which is a town used in author Debbie Macomber's books.

Just wondering what you think of Port Orchard. From what I've read it sounds like a really cute town. Hope to visit the State of Washington one day.

Don't know anything about the books, but Port Orchard is a pretty nice place. It's a very diverse place in terms of what it offers. There are some great little waterfront areas with a cute downtown that is just beautiful. There are other areas where they've stripped the land and put up huge developments and retail centers. There's a great golf course community. It's overall a very nice place, but it's not all alike.

Thank you. I do have to visit the State of Washington.

Debbie Macomber, the famous author, does hail from Port Orchard. She and business partners run one of the best yarn store/tea houses around. Lots of Debbie's fans visit. I did and everyone was awesome. Her books do base Cedar Cove on Port Orchard. She doesn't work at the store - just pops in occasionally when in town.
