I have recently been informed that I can work from home....which entails using the internet. I have a house in N. beach and all of my neighbors tell me that Qwest (Centry Link) is very very slow. I hear that there is also Wave in the area, it is broadband, does any one have experience with the quality and speed of its service?

Wave is installing 50 mbps cable in town but as far as I know only the businesses, hospital, and government offices have access to it right now (but check with them to find out for sure). I work from home and WAVE doesn't have any cable at all to my house's service tap yet (I'm up on the hill by the fairgrounds), but I have no problem with using the 10 mbps DSL from Century Link. They have an 18 mbps service but I don't feel it's worth the extra expense for me, since I rarely have any problem streaming video with what I have.

My builder had cable internet but also complained it was slow. When tested he was only getting about 2 mbps download, whereas I get close to the actual 10 with my DLS connection.

Thanks, for the information, I will verify with Wave what the service is to my property.

My property is in North Beach (must be near you) however, Wave has stated that they have already provided service to my property and that it is their cable ready. My neighbors have DSL and say that it is painfully slow, so I know that the network web is already overloaded for my DSL network.

I will be setting up a business account, I sincerely hope that it suffices. Otherwise..... Its back to AZ. I am aiming on being there as of March 2014.

Thanks again.
