Lots of outdoor centric pepole in PNW love being wet during their activities, and camping in soggy bags is fun for them (maybe they have an office job)? I have many coworkers who ride their bike to work everyday, wet stripes, visibility impaired and all.

Benefits:
Green winters vs most of USA white or brown.
EZ to hibernate (sleep all winter during dark short days)
COOL temps to do outdoor stuff in winter (not COLD / HOT).
Great reasons for escape to SUN!
Except for maybe the short days, all of your points apply to less than 1/3 of the state's total geographic/climatic regions.

Weird how people ignore so much of WA. Some of the most beautiful areas are in the central and eastern rural parts.

Eastern WA beautiful? Only the Lake Chelan and Spokane parts (US2 and some of I-90 line) have some beauty. South of that is ugly desert with sunnier and drier weather.

Lets see...Methow Valley, North Cascades, a long stretch of the Columbia that pools into lakes and forests in NE WA. That is a fairly large area. Granted, TriCities and Ritzville did not appeal to me. Every state has its unattractive parts, and "unattractive" is highly subjective anyway.

Been around WA much?

I can think of no fewer than 10 'other' forests in EASTERN WA, yes... 3 of them are SOUTH of I-90, WAY south. Of course Pend Oreille area is some of the best untouched terrain, lakes, mtns, forest in WA (but don't tell anyone! )

Anyone in "WA" like the Okanogan?

They have some pretty amazing places AND weather.

Oh, but wait.... That isn't in Seattle, so it must not be in WA!

Eastern means east of the mountains. I said south of I-90. North of that has forests and lakes. Example - Yakima, Goldendale, Kennewick, Sunnyside, Prosser.

This is a totally ignorant and subjective comment.

There are plenty of other areas that pikabike mentioned that are certainly "beautiful" in Eastern WA, and there are many others that may not be "green" or mountainous that are very beautiful to some people - the Dry Falls area comes to mind.

Who decides what scenery is "beautiful"? You?

Parts of extreme SE Washington are forested, around the Blue Mountains. Your over-generalization about being ugly south of I-90 still doesn't work.
