Im curious about if washington has out door hockey. I know there just as far north as we are in MN but I dont know if they get cold enought in the mountains to play out door hockey?

Most of WA does not get near as cold as MN. That and the part that does get cold (east side) does not have that much water.

That said, you probably could play on some of the mountain lakes, but I don't know anyone who does.

Or you could build a backyard rink if long-range cold is in the forecast.

When I grew up in NE WA a hundred years ago (it seems) some of us kids would play on frozen ponds. It was cold enough (but it's no International Falls!) and there is water there.

Some of us had skates, some didn't; sometimes the sticks were, well, sticks. There wasn't any kind of organization or pee-wee league then.

As a kid I would turn our family pool into a mini ice rink every winter. I also played in riverfront park once as a kid. That was a lot of fun... minus the pigeon poop.
