Honestly, thank you sooo much! Your information was very helpful and I very much appreciate it!

Question Best-Safest Area/Neighborhood in Oak Harbor/Whidbey Island

Hello!

Being relocated in July to Whidbey Island. I've heard from locals that most Navy people live in Oak Harbor. I've been searching online for homes/apartments to rent, but it's never as good as in person! So I'm hoping to get some help from the locals Every city has it's "bad or not so inviting areas" - so could anyone tell me what areas of Oak Harbor to avoid searching in? Is there a newer construction area for homes in Oak Harbor? The majority of the homes and apartments that I've seen online are a bit older. Speaking of apartment complexes - are they all low-income housing? I hate to sound prissy but I have an 8 month old daughter - so I really don't care to be living in an unsafe area.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!

I can't be that helpful on specifics but only to encourage you that Whidbey Island is a lovely place and most people should be so lucky as to be stationed there. Enjoy!!
