Puerto Montt because it's a bit more oceanic than Seattle

To me Seattle wins for being dryer with warmer summers. The winters are a bit colder but nothing too bad and better than where I am now.

Seattle at least has (usually) decent summers. And Puerto Montt's winters look incredibly wet.

Seattle.. obviously

For most people I guess this is just a lesser of two evils.

Puerto Montt since it's wetter, but I certainly wouldn't complain about Seattle's climate.

How cloudy is Puerto Montt?

Not sure the sunshine stats for Puerto Montt... but with that amount of rainfall and at 41 latitude, I don't imagine it's that high.

I'm imagining something similar to the northern Oregon Coast, perhaps a bit lower since there's no summer dry season.

I would choose Seattle, but I've experienced their winters and wasn't a fan of the grey skies. However, the summers are much nicer, and there are a lot fewer rain days annually

Puerto Montt is interesting, as is at the same latitude as here, and right on the coast. It's wetter and colder than here, in all months, and seems a bit wet for my liking. I don't think it is likely to be sunnier than Seattle, and not much if it is.

deneb78, you would seem to tolerate some rather cool summer conditions to avoid even mild frost conditions.
