Had a heavy air frost yesterday morning. Got down to 24 F / -5 C and even 30 F / -1 C at Sky Harbor, their first frost of the season. However, it was mild in the afternoon and evening, topping off in the mid-to-upper 50's (12 to 14 C).

Pretty soon we will be speaking (locally, of course) of "thaws" (when it gets above freezing), not "freezes"

We had our first frost Tuesday morning when it got down to 30°F. Nothing until Tuesday night when a cold front comes through and gives us a chance of snow on Wednesday night with our low dropping to 15°F.

We've had frost on the roofs a few mornings, but no hard freeze that reaches the ground! I still have mums, geraniums and marigolds looking pretty good yet.

Generally our hard freezes don't happen for another week or so, lake helps us out.

The frost advisory for last night was a complete bust. Low was only 47 F, thanks to the cloud cover.

Ruston La and some surrounding towns reported 32F on Oct 20th. We had light frost in Bossier City at 33F. And I thought it would never get cold here again?!

Wow, I live in NW New Jersey and there hasn't been a freeze yet. Lowest temperature so far is 35 F. Oddly enough, our first freeze may coincide with the first snow of the season.
