Yes, gmt+8, thats make that timezone the world most populous, nearly 1/4 world population!!! Yes, thats awful, a country with longitude span wider than continental US only has 1 official timezone. Especially the westernmost part, the solar noon is 03:09 pm for today. That's nasty standard-solar timezone offset !

My sunset overtook Boston ages ago like a month ago. Infact I don't think anywhere in the eastern timezone has a later sunset than me today.

Sunset today is 8:15 but it is basically daylight to 8:45

Haha Kent is such a fail, sunset at 7:29 sucks to be them.

Just looked up Spain and west coast sunset is an hour after here! (Well actually its at the same time). Another place with a crazy solar noon.

You're at the western extent of the time zone, so your time is just way ahead of what it should be, you don't really need DST over there.
