D+, interesting winters though far too cold. The Wiki snow stats look false, like in March:76 cm snow with 29 mm precipitation. It would be quite dry snow.
More than the harsh winters, the non-summers bring the rate down.

Winter looks like it can have sick temperature variations, like in this month: CLIMATE Sodankyla - Historical January 1999 - Weather

32/25 on the 21st, -47/-57 one week later and back to a 22 high 3 days later.

Not quite what I'd consider a summer. But the winters are nice!

B+ or maybe A-

To be fair, there shouldn't be any guidelines to define summer either, it just doesn't make sense to have one. Seasons are in the mind of the beholders, the same way beauty is.
Exactly. It really is based on personal perception and one's acclimation to a climate. Sodankyla's summers would seem cool to those of us who live in climates with much warmer summers, but to the locals, they probably feel warm. I know I would find 67 F warm after a long stretch of cold/cool weather.

Definitions:

Winter = when the hemisphere you live in is pointed away from the sun. This is usually the coolest part of the year because of that.

Summer = when the hemisphere you live in is pointed toward the sun. This is usually the warmest part of the year because of that.

That being said, I rate this place a C. Though summers are nice, its too cold for too long. I prefer many places in Alaska over this, including Interior locations.

Fairbanks International Airport - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fairbanks, Alaska - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Palmer, Alaska - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anchorage, Alaska - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wasilla, Alaska - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Just to name a few I find better.

B. Winters are nice, summers could be a bit warmer, longer and sunnier (considering that at this latitude, in excess of 600 hours of sunshine would be possible in June-July) I would personally like to see the summers warm enough to get the annual average above freezing...

I think even Fins like to feel warm sometimes. Ever hear of sauna?

I think our summers are too hot. I hate summers because they are so hot. And our winters are too warm now . I dream to move to some colder place than Finland but I cannot move because this is my homeland. Sauna is good, no matter if it is summer or winter, it is always good .

Interesting. How widespread is your opinion among the Finish population in general?

And Floridians like to feel cool sometimes. What's your point?
