lol

Its midnight and temp outside is 30 CELSIUS!
Inside temp i have no idea but not less than 36 celsius, my apartment is very hot. We ve had an electricty shutdown at around 21:30 but half an hour later light got back. Same for me cause i dont have a fan or A/C. I do have ICE though and im using it right now.

I dont think i will be able to sleep tonight. Tomorrow its supposed to be 36 celsius, so i ll get back to you on thrusday...

it seems that tomorrow its gonna be even worst than today so i might consider the wine idea. Passing out for 2 days sounds like the better option!

I don't think my house can even warm up to 36C on the hottest days!

Meanwhile, this location looks ideal for respite from heat:

Last night was very warm inside my apartment too, but not 36 C, I guess. Fortunately I have a fan and no blackouts so far. Sophie, to our joy, we'll have a very welcome relief in the next days.

Wednesday (today)
23 C / 36 C

Thursday
20 C / 27 C

Friday
15 C / 25 C

Saturday
13 C / 24 C

And Saturday for some locations in Buenos Aires Province will see very cool lows:

Nueve de Julio
5 C / 24 C

Chacabuco
4 C /23 C

Tandil
7 C / 22 C

So, it seems we'll have a very cool (in either sense) Christmas Eve!

Lots of good advice in here especially this one. I live like a hermit in the summer because windows and shades stay down all day and night. It makes a HUGE difference. Dont let that heat in the house otherwise it has a hard time escaping.

Only thing I would add is, have a wet towel handy and keep it on your head for few minutes at a time.

Does anyone know if this heat is record breaking there or is this normal for this time of year?

So, my night was full of cold showers, ice holding and very cold water drinking. At one point, i think it was 4 am, i went to the shower, got a cold shower, and didnt even use a towel, went to bed soaking wet. So my pillow and sheets were totally wet. Result: i woke up this morning with a bad ear pain. Maybe i ll have otitis?? I hope not but my ear is hurting bad!!
Im hoping this will pass, cause today is a very hot day but im refraining myself to get cold showers because of this.

sanfel: im so happy about the forecast. this last few days i ve been watching weather sytes like crazy and when i see those 15-12 minimum i wanna cry of joy.
