Yes, i have to reply again just to reassert my amazement that somewhere 50N can AVERAGE 31c in summer. In Canada, frozen Canada of all places. Simply amazing. Its like California has been transported 1000 miles north.

It doesn't. 1971-2000 normals have 29.2C avg. Tmax for July. Never trust Wikipedia. Considering that that the mean annual temperature is about 0.8C below Alexandra's and that I could get about 2150 hours' sun annually in an Alexandra area where my family used to have a small property, I'll stick with Alex.

Alexandra. Wetter and with a warmer winter. It looks like it might be sunnier and have less rain days as well . Osoyoos has the warmer summers, but knowing Alexandra's summers as well as I do, I've never felt that it's summers needed to be any warmer.

Damn. You're right! I should always check the souce article first.

You're right about Wikipedia though. Ive edited a bunch of weather articles (i only use data from official Met agencies, none of this third party stuff) and go back a week only to find someone's inserted highly erroneous data for reasons unknown (usually on UK articles to make summers look warmer or winters colder)

Heres one example.
Colchester - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For a start theres no met office weather station in Colchester and there was no cold weather in Feb 2007, but for some reason someones put in the temperature fell to -18c!

Wikipedia is full of jokers who seem to want to make climates appear more interesting than they are (and ive noticed a lot of subjectivity with non weather articles lately too). Its a bit pathetic really and has opened my eyes as to how open to abuse wikipedia is. ALWAYS CHECK THE SOURCE!

It makes sense - I often thought it was odd that Osoyoos' stats appeared warmer than stations both north and south of it. I wonder if the 1980-2010 averages would push it over the thirty mark?

Both are too dry but I'll take Osoyoos for no particular reason.

True, I should've known better. Now that I've seen the choices, I think I prefer Osoyoos a little better now (it was a somewhat hard choice originally).

Most of the time I can't be bothered to check the source, but if anyone ever wants to provide one then I'll check it.

Alexandra for not being too cold in winter and that hot in summer (although Osoyoos summer heat is tolerable since it's dry with relieving lows).

Btw, Osoyoos is a far superior climate to Toronto and Quebec due to its dry heat.
