Could one of these forest plantations grow in hot subtropical zones such as the US Deep South?
How about a mild temperate zone like Victoria, Tasmania or New Zealand?
Or maybe even a subtropical highland climate at high elevation such as Toluca, Mexico?

You could grow New England forests in Washington DC, which is the northern end of subtropical climates.
All of the species would grow well In my NZ climate, but so would many other species, that couldn't grow in New England - so a hybrid forest.
Certainly some parts of NZ that could do it much better though.
