It's times like this when I feel so homesick for Melbourne. Just 16 hrs of sun there ending yesterday (7th) whereas we've had around 59 hours over the same period - absolute filth indeed
I'm sure there are plenty of Sydneysiders enjoying it immensely.
32 hrs here for the first eight days of May, or about four hours per day. About average for this time of year. The forecast suggests another gloomy month though (but far too soon to say for sure):
We have had 8 straight days of cloud cover, not including today which is yet again cloudy. Maybe a couple days had an hour here or there of sun. I don't remember this many cloudy days in a row for a long time. So I would say maybe 5 hours of sun so far. Gotta love the extremes we get in these continental climates. Not!

Actually, your May average (last 30 years) is a bit better than that, at about 141 hrs. However this month's tally will probably not look too flash in a week's time.
